[RANT] Sprint... (so where there any bet takers)

Ummmm… well, the date/time I was told last Friday has come and gone.  What do you think the result is?  Well, let’s just say that if you bet on the fact that my phone would be activated, guess again.

Now I’m being told that I should have been told that it could take 3-5 business days… and today is just the second of those days.  Great… so I guess I should pencil into my calender to call them back on Friday to let them know that it’s still not working (I know, I’m such a cynic).

Oh, but wait, they also told me that now they’ve escalated the problem report to the ‘highest priority’.  So what was it last Friday, just high priority?  How many levels of high priority does their system have?  Does high priority mean that it takes 3-5 business days, while highest shaves off a day?  Well, actually, I’m being told that when they mark it as ‘highest priority’, that that usually gets that problem resolved within 24 hours.  OK, so I guess I’m penciling in a phone call tomorrow night as well.

So, the betting booths are open once again… Will I have phone service tomorrow night (Wed June 2nd), by Friday (June 4th), or will this saga continue into next week?

(By the way, just to be clear, I’ve been extremely civil and calm on the phone.  As much as I want to explode with many words that may not be in the English dictionary, I’ve been able to hold it in.  At this point though, it’s as if I’m just going through the motions.  They tell me it’s going to be another x amount of time, I’m not even shocked any more.)
